How are you all doing this fine, winter’s night? Today, I played catch-up with my sleep, since I wasn’t able to get a whole lot of sleep yesterday. At the last moment, of my NOC shift, I was asked to work the day shift at a sister facility. In the moment, I decided to do it. I mean, why not? If you can help out, I feel that you should do what you can to help out. Granted, I completely forgot that I had a prior commitment when I agreed to work the day shift. Oopsie...
So, I did what I had to do. I did both my previous commitment and I worked the day shift. How did I do that, you might ask? Luckily, the previous commitment was a virtual training that I was able to record, while I was at work. That is ONE really great thing about this whole pandemic, no one wants to meet in person (thankfully), so all of our trainings/meetings are virtual. Why wasn't virtual trainings an option from the start? I know, in person trainings and meetings are more intimate. However, those who need to get other stuff done could have really used this as an option! I mean, common folks! We lead busy lives, and can't always drop everything to attend an eight hour training that mostly consists of us watching an instructor read off of Power Point slides.
I digress. Today, I did sleep very well. I had two very vivid dreams. One was very personal, and one not-so-much on the personal side. Today, I did accomplish a goal! Since I purchased my Apple Watch, I have been trying to maintain my daily goals that are automatically established into the watch itself: Move Goal, Exercise Goal, and Standing Goal. The New Year Goal, or New Year Ring Challenge was to close all three rings, starting in January, seven days in a row. I completed this goal tonight!
