Dearest Night Owls,
Who else, other than myself, is so excited that Friday is here! I do have to go into work, tonight, but I know that I have a couple of nights off to look forward to once I clock out tomorrow morning. I do have scheduled appointments tomorrow, like going to get my car serviced and participating in the 2021 NAMI Walk.

I wish that I could say that I feel well-rested and ready to take on the day. You know, that I actually slept through the day without waking myself up. Nope, I cannot say that at all. Today, I woke up twice (10:46 AM and 03:11 PM).
Even the second time was way too soon before I needed to. I had my alarm set for 03:30 PM so I could be awake and relatively alert for my 04:00 PM virtual appointment. The appointment was a therapy session with a mental health professional from Kaiser Permanente. I had never met and/or spoken to this person before, so I wasn't exactly sure how it was going to go. The appointment turned out to go just fine. I want to share that I value talk therapy, and utilizing therapy can be greatly beneficial to maintaining success in mental health. Granted, talk therapy doesn't work for all and that's okay. I just wanted to put it out there that talk therapy can be a great resource if given the proper chance.
After my session was over, I signed off and went back to my bedroom. After Evan finished his work day, we left to go to the grocery store to pick up a few items. I loved that the sun was still shining, and the sun's rays felt really good on my face. Speaking of beautiful experiences, I was looking through my "Memories" feature on Facebook and saw that I was visiting the International Rose Test Garden in Portland on this day just three years ago. The International Rose Test Garden is one of my favorite spots to visit in Portland. I honestly don't recall going back there since visiting in 2018. I really need to go back, and soon. I will be adding visiting the International Rose Test Garden to my "To-Do List" for this summer.
