Dearest Night Owls,
Celebrate good times, come on (let's celebrate)ā£ļø There is a great deal to celebrate on this Thursday. Even though my Thursday didn't start off so great, at least I survived the day. I did have a sour day at work, and I longed for the weekend. After I left work, I decided to do what was necessary to turn the day around.
Today, there were three different birthdays that need to be acknowledged: my dad, my friend Josh, and my car. Yes, my car has a birthday even though it's a machine and was never birthed from a mammal. On this day, three years ago, I purchased a new 2018 Toyota Yaris. Today, my baby girl turned three years old. I am one proud car mamma.

It was my intention of contacting both Josh and my dad, while I was on my way home from work. No, I don't talk on my cellphone when I am driving. Well, I guess technically I do but I use the Bluetooth technology that was already installed in my vehicle so I can be completely hands-free while I drive. My attention is mostly on driving, though, it should always be completely on driving. I don't make a lot of phone calls, when I drive, but I decided to make an exception for today.
My first phone call was technically to Evan because I saw that I had a package delivered two days ago, and was freaking out that it may have been stolen off of my front porch. It isn't just paranoia, there is a precedent set from when someone ran up to my porch on Thanksgiving morning and stole a package. Guess what was inside the package? It actually was pretty funny what this not-so-sly-completely-total-dumbass person took off of my front porch. He probably thought he was stealing something expensive and valuable. Nope, it was neither. Anyway, I digress. It turned out that the delivered package, from two days ago, was left in my mailbox. It was in my mailbox when I checked my mailbox this morning. I was so relieved to see it in there because it was some items that I couldn't wait to receive:
I am SO EXCITED to receive my ribbon scarf š§£ and tote bag from @storiartsā£ļø As soon as I saw that they had an amazing collection of stylish items, created out of quotes from a variety of different literary classics.
I wanted to purchase ALL of the items that I saw, but I had to restrain myself. I decided to purchase a few items from my ALL TIME FAVORITE BOOK, which is Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. Also, I had NO IDEA that they are a locally owned business in Portland, OR.

āI declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! -- When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.ā
Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
