Crave Lazy Sundays...and Turtles❣️
Happy World 🐢 Day, Night Owls❣️
Today, show some love and respect for the turtles. Well, not just for today but at least show some extra love for those beautiful turtles and tortoises of the world. I have a family member who is absolutely obsessed with turtles, so today, I am definitely thinking about my older sister. I love you, Heidi, like you love turtles.
I didn't really do a whole lot today, which is just great with me. I enjoyed a nice, relaxing Sunday. I still managed to get my usual chores done: weekly grocery shopping, went to the gas station to fill my car for the week, laundry, dishes, collected garbage and recycling and brought the bin to the curb, and cleaned out litter boxes. You know, nothing too extreme. I know that sometimes a "lazy Sunday" means doing absolutely nothing productive throughout the day. I am not one of those people who can go a day of doing absolutely nothing. I kind of wished that I had the energy to be super active, but today was not one of those days. My energy level is pretty much gone right now, and I am not sure if the lack of energy is due from physiological or mental health issues. It could be both, but it's hard to tell.
The best solution is to listen to what one's body is trying to communicate. In my case, my body was telling me that it was really tired and needed to rest. When I wasn't completing my chores, I spent the good portion of the day resting in bed. I didn't get to sleep in because I woke myself up, twice, during the night. This morning, I finally got out of bed at 08:00 AM. I don't consider waking up at 08:00 AM as sleeping in, but it is still later than usual for me. Especially on a day when I had to give James his bi-weekly pill for his hypercalcemia. James is such a trooper when it comes to taking his pill. We feed him water through a large syringe, which he loves, and he then he swallows his pill without any complaints. I love my brave baby James.
Speaking of resting in bed, I did more than just sleep. I managed to read a couple of chapters of the novel Crave by Tracy Wolff. I haven't had a great deal of free time to read, so I am still reading the first book of the series. Okay, I also started reading another book when I should have been focusing on finishing the Crave series. What other book did I start reading? Only the book based off the three-part movie called Gabriel's Inferno that I have admittedly become obsessed with watching. I need to put the perfect man, that is Gabriel Emerson, and get lost in the tragic beauty of Jaxon Vega.
“Nothing to do but admit that—obnoxious smirk or not—this boy is sexy af. A little wicked, a lot wild, and all dangerous.” ― Tracy Wolff, Crave
