How are you all doing tonight? Great, I hope. Staying cool? Wearing your sunscreen? Don't forget about the sunscreen. Yeah, it's getting pretty hot outside, and it's so important to remember to wear the sunscreen and stay hydrated. I even learned a new term today, in reference to weather and the heat, called "heat dome".
Tonight, I go back to work. Since I switched shifts with my co-worker, I'll be covering his Saturday night NOC shift this weekend. I am still working a five day work week, just pushed forward by one day. I didn't really do anything too amazing today. I slept a lot, which I suppose could be considered amazing. I would rather sleep too much than too little, and I am thankful that I was able to sleep a lot more throughout the day. This morning, I ended up waking myself up after 05:00 AM, and decided to stay awake. I knew that I would need to eventually try and go back to sleep so I could adjust my sleep schedule.
Luckily, after noon, I was able to fall back asleep. I woke up twice, at 03:42 PM and then 06:00 PM. After waking up, for the day, after 06:00 PM, I didn't feel tired at all. I actually felt like I slept enough, which feels great. Tonight, the only new experience of the day was breaking down and signing up for the Discovery+ streaming service. Yeah, Discovery+ is just one of several different streaming services that restrict specific networks from anyone who hasn't paid for the streaming service. Pretty soon, signing up for the different streaming services that provide the best quality viewing, will cost the consumer more than cable television. My reason for signing up for Discovery+? Hulu is no longer streaming my favorite guilty pleasure cooking shows like Chopped and Guy's Grocery Games. No one separates me from my guys, Ted Allen and Guy Fieri without me putting up a fight. Another guilty pleasure show, streaming on Discovery+ is also Ghost Adventures. I have a great deal of new (to me) episodes now at my disposal.
