Ah, we have made it to Friday. Inhale the start of the weekend, and exhale the stress of the week.
Tonight, I still have to go to work. I am truly hoping that tonight will be the night of completing a large number of chart notes. Last night, I believe that I was only able to complete ten or so chart notes. Completing chart notes has got to be my biggest issue when it comes to my job. The issue stems from my need to be thorough in my details on the events from the night. If it isn't documented, then it didn't happen, or so they say. Every night, I create ten chart notes for my clients. I do this because of the flawed electronic health record program that we use. For some reason, the program can't bill a NOC shift with one set of chart notes, which in my facility's case, is only five notes per shift. My NOC shift is between 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, so the charting program can't recognize the NOC shift as one shift because the shift starts at the end of a day and ends on a new day.
I kid you not, I am literally the only NOC shift staff with whom creates more than five chart notes during the NOC shift. All other NOC shift staff, from other facilities and the other NOC shift staff at my facility, only create the one set of chart notes. I have a huge problem with this insufficient work ethic because creating only one set of chart notes, documenting between 12:00 AM - 07:00 AM, isn't true documentation in the eyes of accountability. The NOC shift starts at 11:00 PM, not at 12:00 AM. The staff has to account for the activities and staff support from the start of a shift to the end of the shift. It truly annoys the shit out of me how our "leadership" can think that only documenting for part of the shift is ethical. I won't give in and only complete one set of chart notes, and I have made it clear to my supervisor that I will not document for only part of my shift. I won't lie, lack of proper documentation just bugs the shit out of me.
Last night, while at work, I took a small break in between completing my nightly tasks. I was scrolling on my Instagram account, and then I decided to check out the "Stories" feature on the app. I never really thought of posting any story on my account, so I thought about trying one. I took a selfie, using one of the fun features that the app provides. I decided to post it! It's the small video at the beginning of this post. I decided to try something new, and it was fun. I think that I may have posted some sort of story, so maybe I have done this once before. It wasn't a story with a fun selfie image, but I believe that I inadvertently created a story of my cats. I have this one post of my two cats, Chester and James, sporting their Halloween costumes. I am not a pro at these social media sites. I only ever use my social media sites to post my personal pictures, artwork, and videos. I also love sharing helpful resources and re-posts from other social media accounts.
Today, I had such a hard time waking up. I really did not want to get out of bed. Eventually, I dragged my exhausted body out of bed. I found some clean workout clothes to put on, and got myself back on the treadmill.
Guess what? The movie, Black Widow, is released today in movie theaters and Disney+ Premier Access. I cannot wait to watch it, and I'll be watching it on the big screen at the movie theater. This will be my first movie to watch, in a movie theater, since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
