It's currently 07:37 PM and it's 106°F outside (according to my Apple Watch). How are you surviving this record-breaking hot day in the Pacific Northwest? I pray that you are all staying cool and hydrated, while beating this heat.
I am familiar with this heat, after living in Arizona (Chandler) and Southern California (San Clemente). Since I am starting a new work week, I spent the majority of my day in bed. This morning, I woke up at around 03:50 AM. After I woke up, I decided to stay awake. I had the coolest dreams, before finally waking up for the morning. I recall having two separate dreams, and both involving Poland. During my first dream, I was researching my Polish heritage. During my second dream, I was actually visiting Poland. I had just arrived in Poland, and I was attempting to get to the relative that I traveled to Poland to visit. I arrived at the most grand train station that I had ever seen in my life. I couldn't figure out which train to take, and I couldn't really communicate my need to help because I am not fluent in the Polish language. Eventually, I was approached by two guys who were incredibly helpful. By the end of my dream, I was able to find the right train and got on it.
After waking up, I was able to keep busy before needing to get back to bed. Between the hours of 04:00 AM - 11:00 AM, I experienced a great deal more than I imagined I would. Let me just say, in a few words, an accident occurred right outside of my house. I called 911, as soon as I heard the accident. After the emergency responders arrived, I went outside. Thankfully, no one was injured from this incident.
While I was observing the first responders, in action, one of my neighbors heard the commotion and also went outside. This was actually the first time actually talking to this neighbor, since I moved into my house. His name is Ryan and he seems like such a nice guy. During the day, I don't get a lot of opportunities to interact with my neighbors. It was nice to have the opportunity to speak with one of my neighbors.
After the accident was cleared, and the first responders dispersed, my neighbor and I parted ways. I spent the rest of my morning completing chores, before the heatwave hit its peak temperature. After 11:00 AM, I decided to call it a day and attempted to fall back asleep. I slept so hard for the rest of the day.
