Ah, today is the purrfect day to celebrate the amazing animal known as the feline. My cats are my most valuable treasures, and I cannot imagine my life without them. Truth be told, I didn't ever consider myself a lover of cats. Growing up, I only had dogs and I absolutely adore dogs. It wasn't until 2010 when I was drawn to an image of a kitten that I had to have, and that cat would become known as Chester.
I wasn't expecting to adopt more than one kitten, and I am so grateful that I was given the opportunity to adopt Chester's sibling who was already given the name of James. My ex college professor had a cat who had become pregnant after escaping from the comfort of her home. The result from this pregnancy was Chester and James. My college professor initially decided to keep James for herself, and had already named him James. While still looking for home for the other kittens, she ended up bonding more with another kitten from the litter. She decided to keep this other kitten and posted on her social media page that she decided not to keep James. I immediately responded and requested to adopt James. Thankfully, she agreed to allow me to take in James. I never regretted this decision because Chester and James have been inseparable since they were reunited. I didn't realize it, at the time, that the original picture (see above image) which immediately made me fall in love with Chester also happened to have James in the background. It was if fate stepped in and brought Chester and James back together. Chester and James were my very first experience with cats, and I absolutely love them with my whole heart.
