Dearest Night Owls,
Happy World Dracula Day š§š»āāļø, my fellow children of the night. Did anyone else catch a glimpse of the Super Flower Blood Moon this morning? I was so thankful to be able to observe some of it, but the cloud cover over the Portland Metro Area and Los Angeles prevented the ability to witness all of the Total Lunar Eclipse. The amazing folks over at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles provided a live stream of the Lunar Eclipse, and there was a lot of cloud cover over there during the total eclipse. At the time of the total eclipse (at 04:11 AM), I went outside to see if there was a clear enough view of the total eclipse. I took a couple of personal videos of my experience of the Total Lunar Eclipse. For the most part, it was an epic fail, and I would have loved to have watched this grand event from a better location.

Screenshot of my laptop, during the live stream, from the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, CA (https://griffithobservatory.org/).
What makes the whole event that much better, the Super Flower Blood Moon occurred on the same day as World Dracula Day. On a day like today, I want to read Bram Stoker's Dracula in a room illuminated by lit candles and a fire in the fireplace. That and watch the Halloween special of Ghost Adventures when they traveled to Romania in search of the real life Dracula (Vlad the Impaler).

Vlad III, or commonly known as Vlad the Impaler
