Dearest Night Owls,
We did it! We finally made it to Friday. It was a long, exhausting week. I am grateful that I have a job that continues to challenge me. I am grateful for my strong work ethic that ensures that I continue to work as hard as I can. Some days are tougher than others, but I continue to keep going.
Speaking of hard work and continuing to keep going, this evening, I went to the Hood To Coast headquarters to pick up my team's swag bag for the 2021 Windy River Relay. My team, which is Cascadia's Running Team, is still short three runners. My team captain was under the impression that our team was going to be disqualified because we didn't have enough participants to complete the full relay. Apparently, this evening, I was told otherwise by the coordinators of the Hood To Coast Windy River Relay. Today, the Hood To Coast coordinators put on a pop-up social event for those who were interested in picking up the items for the upcoming relay. The folks that I met, when I arrived to the pop-up social, were all so incredibly friendly. The environment was very relaxed, and I actually wished that I stayed to meet some of the other participants.
