The Baffled Mind

Dearest Night Owls,

Just when I thought that my dreams couldn't get any weirder, my brain proves me wrong. Today, I had two very different dreams and each one turned out to be incredibly bewildering. Today was one of those days that I slept so hard that it was incredibly difficult to wake up. I did not want to wake up or get out of bed.

During my first dream, I saw the raven-haired mystery man. I was so excited to see him, but my happiness is always short-lived because he is always gone too soon. I miss him, and I miss him so much. It's pathetic how much I miss him. Even in my dream, he is never around for very long. It's like a blip, and then he's gone.

My second dream feels like it could become a great idea for a novel and/or a movie. It started off with a middle-aged woman, who apparently was a high school gym teacher (irrelevant to the story). She reunites with her best childhood friend that she has not seen or heard from since they were children. The friend was a male friend, who eventually becomes a priest (also irrelevant to the story). She does not know this, until he arrives to her home. After arriving to her home, the two of them start reminiscing and wishing that their lives could have turned out so differently than it has been for both of them. While musing over memories, the scene suddenly changes. The changing of scenes is relevant because this happens throughout the rest of the dream. Both of them jump from one scene to the other very quickly, and both of them turn into different aged versions of themselves. It wasn't as though the two of them were re-living memories of their past. Suddenly, it appeared as though the two of them were jumping into several different multiverses throughout the rest of dream. The guy and girl continued to jump into different parallel universes, where their ages change and the scenarios for the two of them change. Like I said, the dreams are freaking weird.

Though, today is Friday, it's not my Friday. Tomorrow night, I will be covering the NOC shift for my co-worker. I still have so much documentation to catch up on, so any extra time that I can get for work is just fine with me. Well, sort of. It's a double-edge sword because when ever I am working a shift, I have to add on more documentation. Yeah, the documentation portion of my job is never-ending.
